Box of Sunshine Pt. 2

I finally finished my Box of Sunshine that I am sending to my friend going through chemotherapy.  In addition to what I told you about last time I added: Trident gum, yarn, Lemon Lift Tea, a crossword puzzle book, Jelly Belly jelly beans in appropriate colors, a Skye Bar, Mallow Cups, Lemon Heads, and a yellow bubblegum cigar.  I wrapped it all up in yellow tissue paper and wrapped the box in yellow wrapping paper before sending it out.

Box of Sunshine Part 1

I am still working on the Box of Sunshine package for my friend with cancer.  I don't want to put in a lot of candy or food, because I don't really know how chemo will affect her, so I have been trying to think of different things to put in.  Michael's was a great resource, and I hit up the Bath and Bodyworks semi annual sale, too.  Here is what I have so far:

The Box of Sunshine so far

  • Let the sunshine in card
  • Notecards
  • Tiny sticky notes
  • Pencils
  • Pedicure set
  • Yellow nail polish
  • Lemon Sunshine Slush hand sanitizer
  • Lemon Sunshine Slush foaming hand soap
  • Lemonade Ice flavored water
  • Big fake Gerbera daisy
  • Little yellow scrapbooking flowers (will be sprinkled on the top)
The box still seems rather empty, so I am searching for more interesting things to put it that are still yellow.  I will probably add a box of tea, some yellow yarn, and maybe a little crossword book.  Hmm...  I see a Target run in my future.

Care Packages

Well, I finished the rainbow socks, and they are all shipped out!  These are probably the fastest socks I have ever completed, thanks to being heelless.

I have another package to ship out that was about the same size as the rainbow socks, and luckily Mr. Logical just got in a shipment of Spotbot cleaner.  They individually boxed every bottle. so I decided to use two of those for my little care packages.  Because the boxes were pretty marked up from other shipping, I wrapped both in pretty scrapbook paper before I sealed everything in packing tape.

While I was packing up these care packages, I remembered that I had pinned this box of sunshine care package with the intention of sending one to my sister.  But I don't think she will mind if I send one to our sick friend instead.
